ABM Industries is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of our buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repair of general maintenance deficiencies, including lighting and ballast, fixture leaks, and thermostat/temperature control.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Record all relevant data in building logbooks and ensure accurate daily entries.
- Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as necessary.
- Assist in emergency situations as needed, ensuring all work areas are returned to a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience and/or trade school training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to understand and provide general instructions in standard situations.
- Proficient in operating manual and power-driven tools.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and/or on-call duties as required.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work extended periods without relief during priority/emergency situations.
