Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine team at Iona University. The successful candidate will provide top-notch athletic training services to our student-athletes, ensuring their health and well-being in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services to varsity sports teams, including injury prevention, clinical evaluation, and rehabilitation
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for student-athletes under the guidance of the Team Physician
  • Assist in the administration of pre-participation physical examinations and refer student-athletes to medical professionals as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized athletic training room, adhering to NATA standards
  • Collaborate with the Sports Medicine team to ensure seamless care for student-athletes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in athletic training
  • Licensure in the State of New York
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association
  • Valid driver's license
