Dark Wolf Solutions is on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to provide support for the US Space Force, Space Systems Command. This role involves the operational maintenance and ongoing support of ground-based radar systems that are essential for US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space observation missions. The Systems Engineer will work closely with the government client, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer to ensure effective planning, development, and delivery of hardware and software modifications for PARCS and UEWR radar systems in response to change requests and deficiency reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Systems Engineering tasks related to Information Technology and Engineering, including:
    • Defining requirements
    • Performing analysis and engineering
    • System design and analysis
    • Developing interface and data architectures
    • Integrating systems
    • Analyzing system operational performance
  • Guarantee the logical and systematic transformation of product requirements into comprehensive systems solutions that consider technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Execute functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to convert customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Offer specific, detailed insights for selecting and implementing techniques and tools for the most efficient solutions to meet business needs, including current and future capacity requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and/or maintaining national security, mission-critical systems.
  • Prior experience managing large-scale Agile or SecDevOps teams/projects, including support for cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, and performance monitoring.
  • Proven experience leading transitions from waterfall to Agile methodologies, aimed at delivering Minimum Viable Products consistently.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of system types: custom-developed hardware/software, COTS/GOTS hardware/software, and specialty engineering of limited supply items.
  • Experience in cloud-based development, integration, and testing capabilities.
  • Knowledge of configuration and data management, hardware and software testing, and evaluation of classified systems.
  • Experience in implementing cybersecurity solutions within existing DoD systems.
  • Experience with distributed systems, virtual operating system environments, and virtual/augmented reality technologies.
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into system requirements and technical performance standards.
  • US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance or higher are mandatory.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience managing large-scale Agile or SecDevOps teams/projects, including support for cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience with PARCS or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR.
  • Expertise in systems engineering, Model-based Systems Engineering, and related fields, including managing teams/projects delivering solutions for missile warning or national security space mission systems.
  • Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and its associated enterprise.
  • Experience in maintaining national security mission networks.
This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.

The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience and technical skillset.
