Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Process Engineer to become a vital part of our I&W Manufacturing Coagulants team. This role is integral to our operations and involves close collaboration with the Plant Manager, Production Supervisor, and Lead Maintenance Mechanic to optimize plant processes, aiming to maximize throughput and elevate product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Safety & Compliance: Assist in technical calculations related to compliance reporting and promote a safety-oriented culture.
  • Process Monitoring: Oversee and enhance both continuous and batch chemical processes while continuously updating standard operating procedures.
  • Reporting: Create and manage reports on key production metrics for site management.
  • Knowledge Development: Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all processes and equipment, and develop training materials for plant operations.
  • Collaboration: Work with external contractors to update all process P&IDs and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Cost Reduction: Implement strategies to reduce costs while improving quality and productivity.
  • Project Execution: Responsible for executing PSSR's, MOC's, and PHA's as necessary.
  • IT Utilization: Leverage an integrated IT business system (SAP) in all processes.
  • Personnel Management: Train, evaluate, and review the performance of production staff.
  • Logistics Supervision: Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks and rail.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
A four-year bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.

Applicants should have a minimum of three years of experience in a chemical manufacturing setting, demonstrating a solid understanding of plant technical processes and operations.

Skills Required:
  • Proficient in information technology, particularly with advanced MS Excel and ERP SAP knowledge.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of chemical processing equipment, plant operations, and environmental regulations.
