About First Student's Mechanic Position

At First Student, our technicians play a vital role in ensuring the safety of students who rely on us for transportation. As a Mechanic, you will perform maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are safe for road travel. Your diagnostic skills will be essential in troubleshooting issues that need repair work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
  • Completing work orders
  • Assisting with mobile emergency services

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL
  • Mechnic's tool set
  • ASE testing opportunities
