Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a Sterile Compounding Specialist. This role involves overseeing daily compounding activities in our cleanroom, supervising compounding technicians, and collaborating with our quality unit on pharmacy events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage compounding, labeling, and daily operations in the pharmacy
  • Ensure accurate logs of controlled substances and compounding records are maintained
  • Perform pre-and-post compounding operational checks to ensure compliance with Standard Operation Procedures
  • Develop and implement process improvements and corrective actions to enhance workflow efficiency
  • Investigate deviations and review batches prior to product release
  • Assist in completing variances and gathering information
  • Supervise and assist technicians in preparing sterile admixtures
  • Communicate issues to the Pharmacy lead and ensure compounding is performed in accordance with SOPs and batch record directions
  • Maintain real-time inventory of pharmacy finished products
  • Enforce applicable personnel policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or (RPh) degree
  • Active Pharmacist License in the home state (AR and CT)
Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to supervise compounding in a cleanroom environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to learn gowning procedures and wear sterile Personal Protective Equipment
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40+ pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for 4+ hours at a time as needed
