About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at RTX. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for performing complex electrical and electronic maintenance, operation, and improvement of equipment and the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform electrical and electronic maintenance, operation, and improvement of equipment and the facility.
  • Read and draw schematics for electrical/electronic trades and mechanical schematics, when necessary.
  • Perform industrial electrical/electronic maintenance, diagnosis, and repair on N/C and CNC machines, and electronic controls.
  • Apply the fundamentals of industrial mechanics, including the principles of hydraulic and pneumatic, and troubleshoot system/component problems, where applicable.
  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with trades people and vendors.
  • Apply the principles of industrial safety and handling of hazardous materials as it relates to electrical/electronic trades.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Must be flexible around shifts for coverage and training, including overtime.
  • Must be able to obtain an Industrial Vehicle license to perform related job duties.
Requirements
  • High School or GED.
  • 1 year of related experience in industrial electrical/electronics or a completed technical certificate/post-secondary degree in a related field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional industrial electrical/electronic experience specializing in machine maintenance, diagnostic skills, N/C and CNC machines, and electronic controls.
  • Professional electrical construction experience (110v electrical outlets, conduit installation, etc...).
  • Experience interpreting complex electrical/electronic drawings and diagrams.
  • Experience using various machine and hand tools and checking instruments.
  • Knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, including applied algebra and geometry.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and SAP Knowledge of ACE tools.
  • Completed technical school certificate or degree.

Role Type

This role is Onsite. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.
