Job Title: Sonographer - Part-time, Benefits Eligible

We are seeking an exceptional Sonographer to join our team of patient-centered professionals at the University of Vermont Health Network. As a Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Sonographer will perform a variety of routine and complex imaging procedures using high-frequency sound waves. This includes obtaining sonograms, adjusting the machine, and recognizing and diagnosing pathology. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, experience in finding appropriate "windows" for the ultrasound beam, and diagnostic knowledge to obtain extra images customized to the diagnosis of concern.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasounds and other required modalities within individual department(s)
  • Examinations are performed independently, under physician supervision, and with peer collaboration as is appropriate
  • Customize the examination to each patient and recognize and diagnose pathology
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of a certified CAAHEP school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or a two-year allied health equivalent
  • Must be ARDMS registered with an ABD or OB/GYN credential
  • One to five years paid scanning experience
