Physician - Primary Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate board-certified physician to join our team at AssociatesMD, a part of NeueHealth. As a primary care physician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional medical care to our patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless coordination of care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical needs, including prevention, detection, treatment, and subsequent care.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses through the development and coordination of a plan of care.
- Exercise sound medical judgment in the administration of care and generate referrals when necessary.
- Document all medical activities in the patient's electronic health record (EHR) and ensure timely execution by ancillary staff.
- Communicate effectively with the treatment team, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff.
- Participate in organizational initiatives for continuous quality improvement and general meetings as requested by the administration or Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
- Assist in the planning of performance and quality initiatives, including operational productivity and fulfillment of health requirements by public and private third-party payers.
- Review and address all laboratorial, radiological, and other diagnostic results, telephonic messages, and prescription refill requests to sustain continuity of care and an updated treatment plan.
- Prescribe medications for identified acute and chronic illnesses, indicating dosage, form, and frequency in the patient's EHR.
- Active state/ACN medical license (MD or DO) in good standing.
- Current license with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) for prescribing controlled substances.
- Ability to practice medicine via the use of an EHR system.
