Orthopedic Medical Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute. As an Orthopedic Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our orthopedic physicians in their daily activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with orthopedic physicians to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless communication.
  • Organize patient flow to maintain a smooth and efficient clinic environment.
  • Assist patients to exam rooms, collect patient history, and conduct screenings as needed.
  • Answer patient phone calls and provide instructions at the direction of the physician.
  • Maintain exam rooms and medical supplies, adhering to universal precautions and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform clerical duties, including updating EMR, completing forms, and charting patient information.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with a valid certification (AAMA) or FL CNA license preferred.
  • Orthopedic experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in triaging patient care issues and working efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Computer proficiency and valid CPR certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
