The Role:

Our team is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Leader to oversee our facility's overall operations. In this position, you will be accountable for the management of the machine shop, emphasizing safety, quality, service, and efficiency while leading a diverse team of over 100 employees and driving process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and spearhead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing key performance metrics related to Safety, Quality, Customer service, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Product Management, Planning, Materials, Finance, and HR, to align and propel operational objectives.
  • Guide a cross-functional team comprising quality technicians, programmers, process technicians, tool makers, and machining supervisors.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision of the organization and engage in its execution.
  • Ensure plant operations comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) regulations.
  • Maintain adherence to legal and environmental safety standards.
  • Manage resources and capacity to meet production targets effectively.
  • Uphold high standards of information accuracy and reporting.
  • Hold yourself and your team accountable to established protocols and procedures.
  • Control costs in alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Develop and nurture a high-performing operations team.
  • Set developmental objectives for team members and provide coaching for success.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate training opportunities.
  • Offer clear guidance and recognize top achievers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within operations.
  • Mentor staff on Lean Sigma methodologies and Entegris standards.
  • Implement relevant metrics (KPIs) to drive ongoing enhancements at the operational level.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 6-10 years of experience in a comparable role within a manufacturing setting, ideally in a machine shop.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing environment; AS9100 experience is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, planning, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Experience in cost management and plant budgeting.
  • Adaptability to changing work environments, workforce dynamics, and customer requirements.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 15 lbs and endure prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Experience in an ISO 14001/45001 environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to comply with U.S. export control laws is required.

  • A strong commitment to safety, demonstrated through integrity and accountability for outcomes.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in an ISO 9001 certified machine shop; AS9100 experience is a plus.
  • A proven track record of achievements in leadership roles.
