Job Responsibilities:


The Marine Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for planning and executing complex technical field assignments with minimal supervision. This includes the installation, modification, testing, inspection, and repair of company products and equipment.

The FSE works autonomously to handle tasks related to liquid cooled variable frequency drives, both low and medium voltage, as well as automation systems and programming.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing or coordinating diverse engineering activities associated with field projects.
  • Interpreting technical drawings and schematics, making necessary adjustments in the field.
  • Enhancing product and technical knowledge through training and resources.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment based on personal expertise.
  • Collaborating with project managers to coordinate site activities and occasionally assuming the role of site manager.
  • Providing leadership in the assembly and operation of lab and field service equipment.
  • Documenting, compiling, and analyzing data for assessment and reporting.
  • Leading assigned field services, responsible for planning, analysis, and reporting on projects of varying complexity.

Qualifications:


Applicants should possess:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in marine power and power distribution, focusing on variable frequency drives and automation systems.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • A combination of education and experience demonstrating relevant accomplishments.
