  • Deliver exceptional service to members, guests, and program participants, contributing to member retention and satisfaction.
  • Respond to member and guest needs, promote memberships and programs, and maintain a clean and organized lobby area.
  • Conduct interviews and/or tours to meet the needs of prospective members.
  • Responsible for membership sales, renewals, and prospect follow-up as directed.
  • Build relationships with members, helping them connect with each other and the YMCA.
  • Interact with other departments to ensure member satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
  • Previous customer service, sales, or related experience preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
  • Maturity and good judgment to operate with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, assess facts, and make non-routine decisions.
  • Effective team-building and team-leadership skills.
  • Positive, energetic attitude toward YMCA work, goals, and values.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel applications.
  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, and stoop.
  • Continuous operations requiring attention to detail and multi-tasking.
  • Lift, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand or sit for long periods.
  • Physically able to complete required certifications.
