Salary and Benefits

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality images used for diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients for scans and selecting optimal imaging parameters
  • Performing patient education and pre-screening tasks
  • Entering and monitoring patient data, as well as transferring images to electronic storage systems
  • FOLLOWING RADIATION SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND GUIDELINES
  • Ensuring prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
  • Maintaining equipment functionality and reporting potential issues to maintenance personnel
  • Contributing to a clean and organized department environment
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

  • A valid BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent within 1 month of hire date
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
