About the Role:

The VNA of the Treasure Coast is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Home Health division in Indian River County. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a registered physical therapist to provide high-quality patient care in the comfort of patients' homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer treatments as prescribed by the physician and under the direction of a registered physical therapist.
  • Observe, record, and report patient activities and findings to the physician.
  • Counsel and teach patients and their significant others to achieve treatment goals.
  • Follow established care plans and perform discharge planning in conjunction with the physical therapist.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records according to agency, state, and federal guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Florida.
  • Home Health experience is highly desirable.
  • One year of prior experience is required, with prior experience using electronic medical records preferred.
