Role Summary
- Oversee employee relations strategies for the fireworks and special effects sectors, ensuring a harmonious balance between organizational objectives and employee support.
- Collaborate with management to boost employee morale and productivity through targeted training, development initiatives, and fostering positive workplace relationships.
- Assist employees and managers with HR processes, policies, and procedures to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Work alongside leadership to identify and nurture high-potential talent, implementing effective succession planning strategies.
- Develop HR metrics to evaluate program success and ensure adherence to HR standards.
- Manage the recruitment process, ensuring the selection of qualified candidates for open roles and overseeing the entire employee lifecycle.
- Support the EH&S Manager with claims related to workers' compensation and general liability.
- Administer training programs and ensure compliance through a Learning Management System.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience providing strategic HR advice to senior management.
- Proficient in employee relations, performance management, and operations across multiple locations.
- Capable of managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment while delivering high-quality results under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship-building, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
- Thorough understanding of HR regulations, compliance, and expertise in HR systems and technology.
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with a preference for candidates with business partner experience.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position is situated in a professional office setting, involving both stationary and mobile tasks, with occasional travel required. The role necessitates the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and navigate stairs.
Travel Expectations
The role entails approximately 25% travel, which may include local and overnight trips.
Work Schedule
This is an onsite position with a standard workday schedule, requiring occasional flexibility for evenings and weekends as necessary.
