Role Responsibilities
As a Principal Engineer, you will:
- Provide leadership across various engineering teams, focusing on multiple domains.
- Oversee the complete solution throughout its lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product managers, team members, and customers to address complex challenges in creating enterprise-level business applications.
- Ensure the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions delivered.
- Facilitate design sessions and code reviews to elevate engineering standards within the organization.
- Utilize programming languages such as JAVA, .NET, SQL, and NoSQL databases, along with Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and various Azure tools and services.
- Mentor junior engineers to support their professional growth and contributions to projects.
- Continuously share best practices and enhance processes across teams.
- Expertise in Java, with proficiency in additional modern languages such as C# or Python being advantageous.
- Experience in developing products using microservices architecture and extensible REST APIs.
- Background in architecture and design, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability of systems.
- Familiarity with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code.
- Understanding of DevOps principles, Cloud Architecture, and Azure DevOps Framework.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and operational portals like Azure Portal.
- Knowledge of application monitoring tools and performance assessment techniques.
- Experience with data center structures and offerings, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.
- Understanding of security protocols and products, including Active Directory and OAuth.
- In-depth knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience within a Java framework.
- 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- 3+ years of experience in architecture and design.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- 1+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $82,000 to $236,500, influenced by various factors including role responsibilities, candidate experience, and market considerations.
