MDPerm is seeking a highly skilled Rheumatologist Physician to join our team at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. As a Rheumatologist, you will provide expert consultative healthcare services for adult patients suffering from musculoskeletal, autoimmune, and systemic inflammatory disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all procedures commonly performed by a Rheumatologist.
- Provide medical examination, care, and treatment to patients.
- Provide medical care and treatment of communicable diseases and/or injuries.
- Conserve the health of patients by application of diversified knowledge of preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic medical and surgical procedures.
- Seek advice of consultants when appropriate.
- Instruct and monitor other medical personnel in care and treatment of patients.
- Initiate requests for tests, x-rays, and admissions to the medical treatment facility, as appropriate.
- Follow-up on abnormal reports.
- Prescribe medications, as appropriate, in accordance with the privileges and MTF rules and regulations.
- Prepare and document appropriate history, physical examinations, and diagnosis.
- Review medical histories and progress of patients.
- Examine patients, make diagnosis of disease, disaster, or injury, and treat patient or prescribe a course of treatment.
- Abide by all facility rules, regulations, and policies.
- Utilize paraprofessional staff as appropriate.
- Respond to cardiopulmonary arrest as appropriate.
- Make preliminary interpretation of radiographs to include MRIs and CT scans.
- Monitor in-patient progress.
- Contract providers shall also be expected to maintain the minimum productivity, measured in patients per month and relative value units (RVUs) per month.
- Adhere to the Center for Disease Control guidelines concerning universal precautions.
- Infection Control Program at all times while providing services under this contract.
- Perform all duties so that they meet all Joint Commission standards.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
Duty Hours:
0730 to 1630
On-Call Hours:
On-call hours may be directed by the clinic as necessary, with specific parameters to be discussed with the clinic.
