  • Advise management and staff on compliance with state and federal laws and regulations governing employment practices and healthcare operations.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to the operation of the facility, including vendor contracts, provider agreements, and employment contracts.
  • Conduct legal research and stay informed about developments in Texas employment law, healthcare law, litigation trends, and related areas.
  • Represent the organization in legal proceedings, including administrative hearings, regulatory investigations, and litigation, as needed.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on legal issues affecting the organization, including employee relations, risk management, and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with expertise in Texas employment law, healthcare regulations, contract law, and litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations applicable to the long-term care industry.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience working in the long-term care industry or healthcare law is preferred but not required.
