Loadmaster for KC-130T Operations

KBR is on the lookout for a skilled C-130 Loadmaster to become an integral part of our team. In this position, you will undertake flight responsibilities as a KC-130T Loadmaster Instructor at a prominent naval air warfare center.
This role involves supporting the United States Navy's operational needs, specifically in flight and ground testing for various aircraft and their functionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preflight checks for KC-130T aircraft and associated ground equipment.
- Manage the loading and unloading of cargo and personnel.
- Calculate and verify Weight and Balance Form F.
- Act as an observer during inflight refueling operations.
- Deliver instruction and training to aircrew members while documenting their progress.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is mandatory.
- A minimum of 1500 flight hours and five years of experience as a qualified Loadmaster on C-130 aircraft.
- Current military or FAA Class II medical certification, with the ability to meet annual recertification requirements.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance; current clearance is preferred.
- Prior designation as a C-130 Loadmaster is essential.
- Completion of a service-related school focused on loading techniques and weight and balance calculations.
Successful candidates must also complete a series of training programs, including NATOPS tests and egress training, with annual recurrency.
Additionally, candidates should be prepared to achieve and maintain secondary aircraft qualifications and perform various administrative tasks related to defense contracts.
Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of DOD regulations governing aircraft operations.
- Familiarity with the C-130 NATOPS manual.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with integrated test teams comprising military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Work Schedule:
40 hours per week
Compensation:
$90,000 - $102,000
The offered salary will reflect the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience while ensuring internal equity.
