Job Description

AbbVie is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Compliance Analytics to support the creation, organization, execution, and adoption of our Compliance Analytics Platform. This role will be responsible for informing, executing, and adjusting the annual US monitoring plans leveraging data analytics and performing data analysis to inform our ongoing understanding of potential Compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the end-to-end process to deploy global OEC Operations analytics and digital platforms, including defining business requirements, supporting design, executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and go-live activities.
  2. Collaborate with OEC teams, Business Technology, and other cross-functional teams to maintain, enhance, and deploy analytics and digital platforms.
  3. Utilize the US OEC Operations analytics and other systems/tools to identify and monitor potential areas of compliance vulnerability, risk, and trends and to conduct compliance-related data analysis.
  4. Ensure Compliance observations, mitigation activities, and corrective action based on analysis and findings are documented and managed to completion.
  5. Support the use and adoption of our analytics and digital platforms through the development of effective analytics solutions, providing input on potential options and opportunities to address complex problems, and through the development and delivery of tailored analytics training and communications.
  6. User advocate - aid in creating a loyal end-user base, driving inputs, requirements, and needs to create differentiated and tailored products that support our risk-based approach and value-driven priorities across a variety of user personas.
  7. Collaborate with OEC leads to inform Compliance and Analytical insights and reports. Provide in-depth working knowledge of AbbVie internal policies and procedures, general industry practices, as well as the internal and external risk environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Interface with multiple functions and stakeholders to provide OEC operational and analytics guidance.
  2. Highly organized. Demonstrates strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  3. Learns fast, grasps the essence, and can change course quickly where required.
  4. Strong work ethic and proven track record of closing out initiatives successfully.
  5. Understanding of systems development, implementation, and operations, and the application and use of systems to govern and support processes.
  6. Proactively produce reports, presentations, materials, guidelines, and documents. Deliver updates to management, as required.
  7. Supports other global OEC initiatives and Operational activities, and which may require ad hoc travel.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree a plus.

5+ years Compliance or transferable pharmaceutical and life sciences industry experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including adjusting content and style for various audiences.
  • Familiar Software Development Life Cycle and Agile frameworks and methodologies for deploying systems, analytical platforms, and technologies.
  • Change agile - Ability to be flexible and adjust based on the evolving business and OEC priorities.
  • Inquisitive and open-minded - Ability to learn, understand, and guide to bring the best solution or alternatives that supports an efficient and effective Compliance program.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik), systems, and structures that facilitate an efficient and effective compliance program.
  • An understanding of business objectives and strategies and how those translate to OEC priorities in order to advise and partner with the business.
  • Good understanding Pharmaceutical and Medical Device commercial operations and the laws, regulations, and guidance applicable to the industry.
