This role is designed to plan, oversee, coordinate, and deliver services to patients, ensuring the provision of high-quality medical care. The position also extends support to faculty, medical residents, and other staff members in a professional manner.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversees, coordinates, and delivers activities aimed at ensuring quality medical care for patients.
- Politely and promptly direct patients to examination rooms.
- Gather brief medical history, vital signs, and document all medications and allergies. Contribute to nursing assessments by accurately collecting, reporting, and recording both objective and subjective data.
- Prepare patients adequately for their visits.
- Ensure the correct completion of all necessary forms for physicals, procedures, etc.
- Clarify and execute physician orders.
- Administer care, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Document accurate information and relay it to the healthcare provider.
- Communicate and document nursing interventions and patient responses to relevant healthcare team members.
- Accurately call in and forward prescriptions to the pharmacy as directed by the physician.
- Schedule various procedures and/or appointments with other healthcare providers as needed.
- Perform specific procedures and/or assist as required in a professional and precise manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock of examination and procedure rooms.
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments.
Assist with the daily operations of nursing staff and related administrative tasks.
- Provide orientation to new resident physicians and nursing staff, along with other medical students.
- Support the training of family medicine resident physicians in clinical procedures in a courteous and timely manner.
- Assist with telephone triage duties.
- Maintain and restock emergency medical supplies.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing evaluation of clinic policies and procedures as requested.
Coordinate vaccine administration and assist in the delivery of vaccinations.
- Act as the Primary Vaccine Coordinator for the relevant health department, adhering to established vaccine management policies.
- Order and manage the inventory of supplied vaccines.
- Monitor and ensure proper storage temperatures for vaccines, documenting daily readings and submitting them as required.

In compliance with federal law, all individuals hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications- Current intravenous (IV) certification or eligibility for certification.
A minimum of LPN licensure in the relevant state is required.
