Job Summary

USPI is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at North Shore Surgery Center. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
  • Assist physicians with operative procedures
  • Demonstrate knowledge of specific responsibilities in emergency situations
  • Handle instrumentation to prolong its lifespan
  • Assist in maintaining a sterile environment
  • Participate in sponge, needle, and instrument counts
  • Transport surgical equipment to cleaning areas
  • Assist in cleaning and reprocessing instrument sets
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of a surgical technician program
  • Previous surgical technician experience (at least one year)
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Ophthalmology
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic instrumentation and microscopes
  • Retina knowledge
