Job Type: Onsite in Eugene, OR
Shift Options: Two opening shifts and two closing shifts each week, plus Sundays from 10-7pm.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist and in accordance with state pharmacy regulations.
You will perform at least one higher-level pharmacy technician responsibility, such as control room management, inventory control, data entry, IVs, or servicing facility-based medication dispensing machines.
Filling prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
Labeling products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
Participating in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy.
Checking in drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, and removing out-of-date items from the inventory.
Preparing medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding.
Communicating with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
Processing returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
Assisting in the training of new employees.
Qualifications:
Verifiable High School Diploma
Attendance mandatory for first 90 days
Valid/Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician License
National Certifications preferred
1 year of pharmacy tech experience – long-term care setting preferred
