We are seeking a skilled Quick Lube Technician to enhance our dedicated team at NorthStar Chevrolet West. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in automotive repair, complemented by ASE certification or a relevant technical degree.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough tests to verify that systems and components are secure and functioning correctly.
- Identify and isolate systems or components that may have caused malfunctions.
- Perform test drives and inspect fluid levels, refilling as necessary.
- Ensure proper tire pressure and maintain cleanliness of fittings through lubrication.
- Install new oil drain plugs and filters, communicating oil levels to colleagues.
- Maintain high efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
- Proactively repair or replace worn parts to prevent vehicle breakdowns.
- Utilize power tools, machine tools, and hand tools to complete various tasks.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems and quick diagnostic skills.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities, with a desire for continuous improvement.
- Capacity to learn new technologies, repair methods, and specifications.
- Proficient in operating electronic diagnostic tools.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- ASE Certification or Technical degree is preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience in a service department.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
