We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Comprehensive Health Services. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiographic procedures, including X-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, and ultrasound.
- Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into place.
- Develop and process radiographic images, ensuring high-quality results.
- Monitor patients' and equipment's condition during procedures and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to perform diagnostic or treatment procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance on radiology equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Valid license and current registration to practice as a Radiological Technologist in the state of New York.
- Two years of experience as a Radiology Technician, with a strong background in radiographic procedures.
- Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 5 years of experience as a Radiology Technician, with a strong background in ultrasound and CT procedures.
- 3 years of experience performing MRI procedures.
- Valid license and current registration to practice as a Radiological Technologist issued by NYS DOH.
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift as required for patient care and transport.
