Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Le Pain Quotidien - Villa Marina. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and executing menu items to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items, including seasonal and special menu items, to meet LPQ standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to cleaning checklists and assisting with cleaning duties as needed
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in managing food par levels and using prep sheets to prepare correct quantities
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure menu items meet our high standards
  • Use proper tools, equipment, and ingredients for each menu item
  • Follow opening, mid, and closing procedures as directed by checklists and the Kitchen Manager
  • Adhere to Le Pain Quotidien cleaning and food safety checklists to ensure proper food handling
Requirements
  • 1-3 months of related restaurant experience or training
  • Previous knife-handling experience a plus
  • Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required
  • Ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the kitchen preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English
