Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at MyHealth Urgent Care in Shelby township. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Verify patient insurance and collect co-pays, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
  • Room patients, take vital signs, and prepare specimens for testing.
  • Assist with EKGs, x-rays, blood draws, and injections under the direction of our healthcare providers.
  • Support the examination and treatment of patients, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with a strong background in vital signs and medical procedures.
  • BLS Certification and a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification are highly preferred.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a flexible schedule.
