As a Pharmacist at Adventist Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our healthcare system. Your expertise will be essential in verifying and filling medication orders, monitoring patient medication therapies, and providing drug information to healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities- Verify and fill medication orders in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with department and hospital policies, as well as regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor patient medication therapies to ensure efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness, and make recommendations for optimal medication use.
- Provide drug information to healthcare teams, including pharmacists, physicians, and nurses, to support informed decision-making.
- Identify and troubleshoot potential medication safety hazards, and document all interactions for medical review.
- Supervise and direct support personnel, ensuring that medication management tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Graduate of a school of pharmacy, with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred.
- One year's technical experience in a clinical pharmacy setting, with inpatient experience preferred.
- Pharmacist license in the state of practice, with all necessary licensures and certifications required.
