Job Title: Travel ICU Nurse RN

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled travel nurse RN ICU to join our team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Job Description & Requirements
  • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit
  • Discipline: RN
  • Shift: 12 hours
  • Employment Type: Travel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU setting
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs and medical equipment
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare teams

Requirements:

  • 2 years ICU experience with cardiac experience required
  • 3-5 years CVICU experience preferred
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • EMR - Meditech experience preferred

Unit Details:

  • Combined cardiac ICU - medical and surgical
  • Stepdown rooms
  • High-paced unit, time management important, admissions & discharges

Special Procedures/Unit Details:

  • IABP (not for Travel Nurses) but would like some background
  • Impella (not for Travel Nurses) but would like some background
  • lobectomy, thoracotomy
  • cardiac drips / titration required
  • hypothermia - would like some background
  • chest tubes required
  • central lines required
  • phlebotomy required
  • EKGs required
