We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at ECHN. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate professional to make a difference in the lives of our patients.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist will provide high-quality patient care by evaluating their function, selecting and applying appropriate treatments to improve or restore function. They will also participate in an interdisciplinary approach for in-service and community education and in the clinical education of affiliating students.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients based on departmental standards
  • Conduct and modify evaluations based on the patient's symptoms, level of activity, and medical status
  • Treat patients with the appropriate and acceptable therapeutic exercises (strength, endurance, coordination, and ROM)
  • Administer physical agents (modalities) and manual therapeutic technique to relieve pain and/or attain established goals
  • Utilize effective techniques to assist in normalizing motor activity and learning
  • Educate patients/families in home exercise programs and/or functional activities in order to maximize independent functional activity
  • Determine when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment and recommend discharge if appropriate

The ideal candidate will have strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, and be proficient in the use of Windows-based programs needed for department functions. They will also have access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple work sites and be willing to perform essential duties as required.
