Job Summary

Bemidji State University is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team as a Database Specialist. As a key member of the University Advancement office, you will be responsible for maintaining the BSU Foundation's constituent relationship management (CRM) database, ensuring data accuracy and implementing appropriate data maintenance procedures.

You will develop, document, and update data maintenance policies and procedures, continuously researching and reviewing best practices in data management. Your analytical skills will be utilized to develop complex queries and reports, making recommendations for data improvement processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administering the fundraising and donor management CRM solution, establishing and implementing database management policies and procedures, and providing end-user training and support.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM database, ensuring data integrity and adhering to data privacy regulations.
  • Developing and generating reports, analyzing data, and presenting findings to inform strategic organizational decision-making.
  • Providing technical support and assistance to users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems efficiently.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an Associate degree in a technical field, such as business, computer science, or data analytics, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.
  • Comprehensive understanding of CRM systems and database management principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support users effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $52,805 - $76,650 annually, based on the location and requirements of the job. In addition to a competitive salary, Minnesota Careers offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance, retirement plan, and tuition reimbursement.
