Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Fontana, California.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the human body.
- Assist physicians during minor surgical procedures and develop new techniques and procedures.
- Obtain tissue specimens and follow infection control procedures.
- Modify imaging techniques as needed and observe patient condition during and after procedures.
- Transport patients to and from procedure areas and assist with fluoroscopic examinations.
- Process digital or film images and make prints, if applicable.
- Perform radiation safety monitoring and record pertinent patient information.
- Review patient charts to identify significant patient conditions and compile Quality Assurance data.
- Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable x-ray equipment and arrange for repair of imaging equipment.
- Perform other duties as required and demonstrate an understanding of patient care.
- Three years of recent experience as a CT Technologist or successful completion of the department's formal CT training program.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and utilize theories, principles, practices, and techniques of Radiologic Technology.
- Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certificate (California) or Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California).
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) and Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California).
- Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Basic Life Support.
- Advance Certificate in CT (ARRT).
Notes: Weekend need. Work schedule varies. 10-Hour schedule. Will work at all SBC service area locations.
