Job Responsibilities:

  • Safety Programs Development: Design and implement effective safety programs and procedures to prevent workplace accidents and illnesses.
  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees on safety practices, emergency response, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and other safety incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace and evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety measures.
  • Environmental Management: Oversee the management of environmental impact, including waste disposal, pollution control, and resource conservation.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, compliance audits, and training sessions.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and disaster recovery plans.
  • Policy Development: Create and update EHS policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations, best practices, and organizational needs.
  • Health and Wellness Programs: Promote employee health and wellness initiatives, including ergonomic assessments, health screenings, and wellness programs.
  • Coordination with External Agencies: Liaise with external regulatory agencies, insurance companies, and safety consultants to ensure compliance and address any issues that arise.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve EHS programs and practices to enhance safety and environmental performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and international safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
