Neonatal Hospitalist Physician

Northwell Health Physician Partners is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Hospitalist to join our team at Cohen Children's Medical Center.
Job Summary:We are looking for a board-certified Neonatal Hospitalist to provide high-quality patient care in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
Responsibilities:- Provide frontline care to patients in the NICU, including pre-rounding, work rounds with the clinical team, and safe handoff at change of shift.
- Attend high-risk deliveries and lead neonatal resuscitations.
- Demonstrate competency in common neonatal care procedures, including endotracheal intubation, thoracotomy tube placement, and peripheral arterial line placement.
- Provide neonatal care during inter- and intra-hospital transport of critically ill newborns.
- Complete local certification in neonatal ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, and neonatal transport.
- Document critical changes and management of newborns, as well as procedures, in a complete and timely manner.
- Appropriately bill for procedural, resuscitation, or transport services rendered.
- Attend divisional educational activities to maintain competency in current concepts in neonatal care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of unit projects.
- MD or DO degree.
- Licensed in New York State.
- Graduate of an accredited pediatric residency program.
- Board certification in Pediatrics.
