Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to assess business requirements and priorities, engage with essential business stakeholders, and address team needs concerning data systems and management.
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications; outline and define the details, definitions, and requirements of applications, components, and enhancements.
  • Engage in project planning; identify milestones, deliverables, and resource needs; monitor activities and task execution.
  • Create design, development, and testing plans, detailed functional specifications documents, user interface designs, and process flow diagrams for programming execution.
  • Develop data pipelines and APIs utilizing Python, SQL, and potentially Spark, along with AWS, Azure, or GCP methodologies.
  • Employ an analytical, data-driven approach to gain a comprehensive understanding of rapidly evolving business environments.
  • Construct large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines using data processing frameworks within AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Facilitate the migration of data from on-premises to cloud environments and execute cloud data conversions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in data engineering with a focus on data analytics and reporting.
  • Strong familiarity with AWS services.
  • Proficient in SQL, data transformations, and troubleshooting across at least one database platform (e.g., Redshift, Amazon RDS, Cassandra, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Databricks).
  • Experience in designing and constructing data extraction, transformation, and loading processes through custom data pipelines.
  • Proficient in a scripting language such as Python.
  • Experience in designing and implementing solutions using various Cloud services such as EC2, S3, EMR, Kinesis, RDS, Redshift/Spectrum, Lambda, Glue, Athena, and API Gateway.
