As a Radiology Specialist, you will be tasked with executing all radiological services and performing basic nursing responsibilities as required. Your role will involve ensuring patient safety and fostering a supportive atmosphere while collaborating with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and other clinical staff.

Location: Various local work sites as needed

Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week

Specialty: Urgent Care Services

Hours may include rotating weekends and holidays, subject to patient volume and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct precise X-ray examinations as directed by healthcare providers while adhering to radiation safety protocols, including ALARA principles.
  • Prepare and send images to radiologists for review and communicate results to the medical team.
  • Manage and archive radiographic reports, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform thorough data collection during patient intake, including vital signs and medical history.
  • Assist patients with mobility, specimen collection, and preparation for examinations.
  • Handle patient referrals and follow-up calls on a daily basis.

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Licensure and accreditation by ARRT and state regulations, as applicable.
  • Ongoing CEU/CME maintenance as required for licensure.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in urgent care settings.
  • Ability to work independently without the support of another radiologic technologist.
  • Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients, including vital signs assessment, point of care testing, and electronic medical records documentation.
  • Capability to perform venipuncture and lab specimen collections.
