About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at Northwest Permanente. As a member of our medical group, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a team of six psychiatrists, providing care to patients at Brookside Center, a 20-bed, locked, and all-voluntary residential mental health unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric care to patients at Brookside Center and through psychiatric consultations at Kaiser Permanente's Sunnyside and Westside Medical Centers.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of mental health therapists and nurses at Brookside, as well as with Emergency Psychiatric Services clinicians in the emergency rooms.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with a range of diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders.
  • Participate in regular case discussions and management with fellow psychiatrists and other mental health providers.
Requirements
  • Significant experience with digital technologies, including Epic EMR and virtual care delivery options.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and incorporate them into your practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
