As a key member of the Amazon team at the delivery station, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of packages to our customers. Our fast-paced and dynamic environment requires individuals who are able to work efficiently and effectively in a team setting.
Duties and Responsibilities- Receiving and Preparing Inventory: Receive and prepare inventory for delivery, ensuring that all items are accurately labeled and ready for shipment.
- Using Technology: Utilize handheld devices and other technology to sort, scan, and prepare orders for delivery.
- Pallet and Package Handling: Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages to ensure timely delivery.
- Physical Demands: Lift up to 49 pounds, receive truck deliveries, view prompts on screens, and follow direction for some tasks.
- Work Environment: Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around. Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable).
Our delivery stations are fast-paced and dynamic environments where you will be working around moving machines, including order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. You will be required to stand in one place for long periods, walk around, or climb stairs. The temperature can vary between 60°F and 90°F in some parts of the warehouse, and it can get noisy at times.
