Job Description

Weis Markets is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Sales Associate to join our team. As a Produce Sales Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a well-stocked and visually appealing produce department, ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unpack and stock produce, ensuring that merchandise is in saleable condition and properly priced.
  • Rotate stock to ensure freshness and maintain a clean and organized department.
  • Assist customers with special requests, such as filling orders for fruit baskets, and resolve any concerns in a polite and professional manner.
  • Maintain the salad bar and cut fruit/vegetable as needed, and ensure that product has been properly priced with correct signage.
  • Assist in building attractive displays and accurately complete necessary product logs.
  • Handle spoiled and damaged product, new items, and discontinued items according to company policy.
  • Responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure that work areas, equipment, counters, display cases, etc. are well maintained, clean, and meet all health and OSHA requirements.
  • Dispose of trash properly and assist in minimizing shrink and controlling damages.
  • Report shortages and overages to manager.
Requirements:
  • Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • No prior experience required.
