About the Position

We are seeking a qualified Home Health RN to join our team in Utica, NY. This is a 13+ week assignment with flexible shift timings, offering a competitive hourly rate of $60-70.

Job Responsibilities
  • Travel to patients' homes and manage their care plans according to physicians' instructions.
  • Administer medication and insulin, and complete blood pressure, glucose, urine, and stool tests.
  • Inspect wounds, change dressings, and handle personal grooming and hygiene.
  • Test for muscle weakness, bedsores, and any signs of infection.
  • Listen to the concerns of family members and answer their questions.
  • Educate caregivers and family on the aftercare or ongoing care of the patient.
  • Provide suggestions for improved healthcare to physicians and family members of the patient.
  • Monitor patient recovery and compile reports for the physician.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or similar.
  • Additional courses in biology, anatomy, and science may be required.
  • Relevant license and certification.
  • A completed apprenticeship or experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to follow instructions but also to act independently if necessary.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Active listening skills and empathy.
  • Physical and mental strength.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transport may be required.
