We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Luminis Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating patients for cardiopulmonary rehab services and providing personalized therapy, education, and counseling to help them achieve optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough medical history reviews and develop individualized rehabilitation plans in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members to plan and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Assist in managing and developing fitness programs, maintaining procedures and training manuals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and objectives, adhering to quality and safety standards, and complying with governmental and accreditation regulations.
- Attend hospital rounds, educate patients on cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services, and respond to emergencies using BLS & ACLS guidelines.
- Collect and enter outcomes data, assist with departmental metrics, and participate in hospital committees to drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a healthcare-related field; Master's Degree preferred.
- One year of clinical experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
- American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified Clinical Exercise Specialist (EP-C) or Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) preferred.
- American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS certification; ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
This position requires heavy physical demands, including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
