About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales Lead to join our team at DICK'S SPORTING GOODS INC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and leading by example to inspire and motivate our sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager in executing brand standards and providing direction to sales team members.
  • Build a people-first culture by connecting with every sales team member to build mutual trust, respect, and contribute to a strong store recognition culture.
  • Plan, organize, and control daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events with the guidance of Assistant Store Manager.
  • Strategically leverage sales team members to ensure brand standards are met, programs and processes are executed daily, and tasks are delegated based on priority level.
  • Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards.
  • Assist the store leadership team with general supervision in the store in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with training sales team members on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new team members and cross-training current team members.
  • Prioritize coaching and developing oneself and others, providing hands-on coaching and teaching the 'why' behind tasks, plans, and processes.
  • Lead by example to support the vision of the organization and store by helping sales team members understand how their responsibilities directly align to the common purpose, organizational goals, and delivering a hassle-free shopping experience.
  • Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and safe and is treated with respect.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Company information.
  • Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
