About the Role

This full-time position involves providing comprehensive medical and psychiatric assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and prescribing medications as necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or related fields, and a strong foundation in evidence-based practices.

  • Conduct thorough medical and psychiatric evaluations to identify the root causes of patients' struggles with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Prescribe medications for opioid use disorder (MAT) and other substances as appropriate, while monitoring and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions to support patients' recovery journeys.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA).
  • A current and unrestricted license to practice in Alaska.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), with a focus on family medicine, psychiatry, or addiction medicine preferred.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in the treatment of substance use disorders and mental health conditions.
