Job Title: Lead Substance Abuse Nurse LVN-LPN

Job Summary:

BAART Programs, a BayMark Health Services company, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lead Substance Abuse Nurse LVN-LPN to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and leading our nursing team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that physicians' medication orders are accurately implemented and delivered in a timely manner, including transportation to outside facilities.
  • Oversee medical services to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Delegate tasks to certified nursing assistants, medication technicians, or unlicensed personnel who are competent to perform those tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Nursing Supervisor to address potential issues and concerns.
  • Schedule and participate in treatment teams, panel reviews, department head meetings, and general staff meetings.
  • Manage the nursing team, including time clock edits, scheduling, performance improvement activities, and monthly reporting.
  • Resolve client clinical complaints and intervene in crisis situations.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed in California as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Prior experience in substance abuse, mental health treatment, or addiction medicine is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.
  • Fundamental knowledge of professional nursing principles, techniques, basic addiction medicine science, and community health and welfare resources.
  • Ability to carry out written and oral instructions, exercise judgment in nursing care, and work cooperatively with others.
  • Computer proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Suite.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
