Position Overview
The Chief of Medical Imaging Services is tasked with overseeing and advancing imaging operations throughout the Inspira Health Network's acute care services.
This executive will collaborate with essential stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of quality, enhance patient satisfaction, foster staff engagement, and drive strategic initiatives aimed at improving patient care.
Key Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of nursing standards and regulations
Comprehensive understanding of Joint Commission and/or DNV accreditation standards
Proficiency with electronic health record systems
Professional Experience:
A minimum of five years in a leadership role within an acute care environment. Exceptional communication and analytical abilities. Proven experience in managing regulatory inspections and surveys.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant clinical discipline. A Master's degree in management is preferred. Licensure is mandatory; certification is advantageous.
Leadership in System Operations:
Provide strategic direction and oversight for medical imaging departments across the network, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
Develop and execute initiatives to enhance patient care, optimize operational efficiency, and improve overall performance.
Operational Oversight:
Manage the daily operations of imaging services, including staffing, scheduling, resource management, and budget oversight. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, quality assurance, and patient safety protocols.
Strategic Development:
Work alongside system leaders to formulate long-term strategic plans for imaging services. Identify opportunities for growth, introduce new service lines, and leverage innovative technologies to elevate patient care and operational effectiveness.
Team Leadership:
Cultivate a collaborative and nurturing work environment, encourage professional growth, and address performance challenges as necessary.
Quality Management:
Establish and oversee quality assurance initiatives to maintain the highest service standards. Implement quality control measures, monitor equipment performance, and assess the reliability and accuracy of provided services.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Engage with physicians, referring clinicians, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services across the network.
Innovation and Technology:
Stay abreast of advancements in radiology, informatics, and industry trends. Assess and adopt new technologies, software solutions, and imaging modalities to enhance diagnostic precision, patient experience, and operational efficiency.
