Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infection Control and Prevention: Adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Instrument Processing: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are safe for use.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure that all instruments and equipment meet the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document and maintain records of all instrument processing and quality assurance activities.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One year of experience in instrument processing or a related field.
  • Certifications: Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution - Ambulatory Surgery Technician Certification or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
