Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Medical Assistant Float to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a Medical Assistant Float, you will provide administrative, clinical, and departmental support to promote the health, safety, and comfort of our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support, including patient check-in and check-out processes, scheduling, and coordinating appointments.
  • Assist with clinical tasks, such as preparing treatment rooms and equipment, and performing initial intake of patients.
  • Support departmental functions, including maintaining clinical files, processing patient-related correspondence, and ensuring efficient patient flow.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
  • Travel to various locations, including satellite offices, to provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in medical assisting preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and math required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to various locations required.
