Product Engineering Manager

Renesas is seeking a highly skilled Product Engineering Manager to lead our product development team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the full product lifecycle ownership from concept to end of life, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of product engineers in the US and Asia
  • Define ATE test, qualification, and manufacturing plans
  • Release products into manufacturing with adherence to stringent tier 1-customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain product BOMs and ensure compliance with automotive standards
  • Lead excursion management for suppliers and customers
  • Use yield tools for improvement and monitoring, generating weekly reports for the team
  • Achieve KPIs in product-related deliverables, including NPI execution and velocity, product cost, and quality performance
  • Optimize PAT, SYL, SBL, and SPC limits to protect quality without excessive waste
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and upper management to drive strategies for future product development
  • Mentor junior engineers to upgrade the team's knowledge level

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in product engineering, with a strong familiarity with power management products
  • Familiarity with ATE tester platforms, digital and analog circuitry, and common building blocks
  • Knowledge of JEDEC/AEC qualification standards and stress test conditions
  • Experience with yield management tools, such as PDF Exensio and JMP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage supplier excursions and customer escalations
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, with an MS/PhD preferred
