Tact Staff is currently seeking a travel nurse specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.

Unit Information

The PICU unit is designed to provide high-quality care for critically ill pediatric patients. The unit features:

  • Number of Beds: 6
  • Staff Composition: 17, including 2 CNCs and 7 RNs on day shift
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 3:1
Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a PICU setting
  • PALS certification
Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly regarded:

  • Pediatric Trauma experience or TNCC certification
  • Pediatric burn experience or ABLS certification
Typical Procedures

Common procedures performed in the unit include:

  • Dressing changes under conscious sedation
  • Intubations and ICP monitoring
  • Frequent neurological assessments
